Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and pirch for using our website and app. You agree to them when you create an account or continue signing in, and by using pirch.
What pirch is
pirch is a tool that searches job listings, matches them to the profile you provide, and drafts cover letters for you. pirch is not a recruiter, employer, or career agency, and does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 and provide accurate information.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.
- You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
Your content
You keep ownership of the résumés, text, and files you add. You grant pirch permission to process that content to provide the service (including sending it to our AI provider to perform matching and writing). pirch also learns from how you use it — the jobs you save, hide, or thumbs-down — to personalize your matches; see the privacy policy for how that data is handled. You're responsible for having the right to share what you upload, and for not uploading unlawful or infringing content.
Credits and payments
- Your first hunt is free (additional free hunts may be offered during launch promotions). Additional hunts are purchased as one-time credit packs.
- pirch pro is an optional monthly subscription ($12/month) that runs hunts in the background and includes 10 hunts each month. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. The monthly pro hunts refresh each cycle and do not roll over — unused ones don't carry into the next month. (Hunt packs you buy separately never expire.)
- You can cancel pirch pro at any time from your account ("manage pirch pro," which opens the Stripe billing portal). Your pro features continue through the end of the current billing period, and it will not renew again. Any unused monthly pro hunts end with the period; hunt packs you purchased remain. Monthly charges already made are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Credits are for use within pirch and have no cash value.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Because credits and hunts deliver AI-generated results immediately, one-time purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion for a genuine problem — reach us via the support page.
Acceptable use
- Don't abuse, scrape, overload, or attempt to break the service or its security.
- Don't create multiple accounts to evade limits or the free-hunt allowance.
- Don't use pirch to violate any law or third party's rights.
- Don't submit content that expresses an intent to harm others.
When pirch may decline a hunt
pirch is built to help people find good work — including anyone rebuilding after a setback, a record, or a hard chapter. Those hunts are welcome. In rare cases, pirch may decline to run a hunt, or return no results, when a submission indicates an intent to harm others or a serious misuse of the service. A declined hunt does not use a credit. If you believe a hunt was declined by mistake, contact us via the support page and a person will review it.
Posting a job (for businesses)
If you submit a job through pirch for business, you confirm you're authorized to post it and that the details are accurate and lawful. Every submission is reviewed before it goes live, and we may edit, decline, or remove any posting at our discretion. Posting is currently free. Don't post roles that are discriminatory, misleading, that don't exist, or that ask candidates to pay to apply.
AI-generated results
Match scores, "why it fits" notes, and cover letters are generated by AI and may contain errors. Job links come from third-party sources and can change or expire. Review everything before you rely on it or apply. You are responsible for what you submit to employers.
Availability & changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features. We aim for reliable service but don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date above. For material changes we'll let you know (by email or in the app) before they take effect. Continuing to use pirch after that means you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimers & liability
pirch is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, pirch isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
